During a break from taking pictures, Gene Klco signed a few of a new book that he wrote and had published - "Loon Chick's First Flight".

It is a photo journal of the first months of a loon chick as told by Lily, the chick. The story goes from the egg to the growth of the chick over the summer on a northern Michigan lake to the time when it flys away to the Gulf of Mexico for the winter - all in full color photos. It is available on Amazon or signed copies from Gene.
