O'Rafferty High Senior Class of 1965
50th Reunion Photos
Saturday - October 3, 2015

Before the Homecoming game, Lansing Catholic High School has a tailgate. We brought sub sandwiches and snacked on other treats that people brought. Then at 11:30 am, we headed over to the school to get a tour of the new chapel and remodeled auditorium.
The new St. John Paul the Great Chapel was just finished last spring.
It features many stained glass windows terrazzo flooring, volunteer made pews (by the 'pew crew') among other things.
Jack & Noella Maloney's son, Tom, is the school's President and gave us a extensive tour of the chapel. Jack listens with Carol Gould (Kern's friend), Noella, Kern Slucter & Gene Klco.
Tom Maloney is detailing all that went into the chapel.
A Holy Water font graces the end of the aisle.
This shows some of the many stained glass windows in the chapel. They were done in traditional style with lots of detail.
Then we went to the auditorium to check out the new seating and improvements. Tom showed a short trailer for the current funding campaign - the Heritage 2 Campaign.

After the tour I noticed the old O'Rafferty HS plaque on the wall to the gym.
After the Lansing Catholic - Ionia game (which they won - in the rain), a Mass was held in the chapel at 4:30.
Fr. John Byers concelebrated the Mass with the current chaplain at Lansing Catholic, Fr. . Some of our class attended the Mass before going to the Reunion.
